Planning for the West Region Blueway & Trail System is focused on establishing new ways to learn about and enjoy the remarkable natural resources found in western Hamilton County while balancing these activities with Great Parks’ conservation goals.
As we develop the West Region Blueway & Trail System master plan, we’re conducting technical studies and analyzing the existing conditions of the Whitewater River and Great Miami River corridors to better understand the character, opportunities, and challenges of the rivers and surrounding landscapes.
Comprised of local community representatives and representatives of other key local stakeholder, business, and interest groups, we have also assembled an Advisory Committee to:
Help guide Great Parks through the planning for the West Region Blueway & Trail System
Provide local insights and perspectives into project goals and components
Represent their community’s and/or organization’s interests in planning discussions
